Judicare through its use of existing lawyers is well-designed to reach the poor. Poor people under Judicare are likely to become aware of the services earlier and more easily (and at less expense of attorney time) than under the staff-office model. This book reviews the history of judicare, how judicare can be used to help the poor, substantive issues in judicare, types of lawyers, and conclusions about how best to reach clients.
